“Mau Loa”… eternal, everlasting, forever, endless… Through all my journeys, dreams and adventures, this phrase has a connection to all.
My Muse is Nature. I seek to epitomize our connection with it and its beauty through my expression of Art. I am influenced by Impressionism and other movements of Abstract Art. I aim to bring the outside in. Water, mighty and revitalizing, is an element I am drawn to and it inspires me to my core.
I am equally inspired by Hawaii and its raw beauty. I utilize a number of mediums such as soft pastel, water colour, and acrylic to capture the flow and explosive colour of the Natural World.
The usage of contrasts, light vs dark, muted vs vibrant colours, and various textures allow me to mimic the contrasts that naturally occur in Nature. Nature is where I return to replenish and feed my Soul.
